Animal Control responds to all animal complaints (domestic or wild), which includes the humane removal of all animals.  Additionally, the department enforces the Town of Ashfield animal control bylaw. as well as ensuring that dog owners have proper and up to date licenses for their dogs. 

State law requires all dogs in the Commonwealth over six months of age to be licensed annually. For details on how to obtain dog license, refer to the Town Clerk's dog licensing page.
