The Finance Committee is responsible for all financial matters related to the town. The Committee approves all Reserve Fund requests and works with the Select Board and other Town Officials during the budget season. The Finance Committee issues their budget recommendations at the Annual Town Meeting.
The Finance Committee is also in charge of awarding grants from the Mary Priscilla Howes Fund, a trust fund established to help support cultural, historical, and beneficial projects and events for the citizens of Ashfield. An application for this grant may be found here.
