The Municipal Light Plant operates the town-owned internet service, which provides gigabit symmetric fiber optic service to residents and businesses. The MLP is governed by the Select Board, which also acts as the MLP Board.

Ashfield contracts with Westfield Gas and Electric, operating as Whip City Fiber, to perform the responsibilities of internet service provider and network operator.

Current rates are $85/mo for 1Gbps internet and $13/mo plus taxes and fees for VOIP telephone. An installation fee may be required.
